Merced Downtown Storefront Program

The Merced Downtown Storefront Program is a partnership between United Way of Merced County and the Merced County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce designed to help local businesses improve storefronts, increase visibility, and strengthen economic activity throughout Downtown Merced.

Selected Businesses Receive

  • $3,500 in design services through Storefront Mastery
  • Up to $10,000 for approved contractor services for storefront improvements
  • A Merced County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce membership
  • Access to Chamber resources, promotion, and business support services
  • A public ribbon cutting and showcase event upon completion

The $175 application fee also serves as your Chamber membership fee. Applications will be reviewed in June.

Application Requirements

  • Signed property owner consent letter
  • Certificate of Status from the California Secretary of State
  • Entity Status Letter from the California Franchise Tax Board
  • Current business plan

Our project manager will reach out directly to assist businesses with gathering these materials and provide templates and guidance throughout the application process.

This program is designed to strengthen Downtown Merced businesses by improving storefront visibility, enhancing customer experience, and connecting local entrepreneurs with long-term support and resources.
